Overview

The Assembler assembles equipment and products by following verbal and written instructions, using hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and gauges. Duties include reworking units, keeping alignment within tolerances, and operating overhead cranes and forklifts. The role requires a safe and clean work environment and may include training other employees. Wood-Mizer is an employee-owned manufacturer of portable sawmills.

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Mechanical experience preferred, more than 1 year
• Ability to use various hand and air tools
• Ability to assemble parts and equipment per specifications
• Ability to follow proper safety protocols
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required
