Overview
Under the direct supervision of qualified sterile processing staff, the Associate Sterile Processing Technician carries out entry-level duties while finishing required facility-based clinical training. Duties include cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of reusable medical equipment and surgical instrumentation. Candidates must have completed the classroom portion of an approved program, with hands-on clinical training conducted upon hire.

- Eligibility to complete the clinical or practicum portion after employment
- CRCST or CSPDT certification obtained within 1 year of hire
