Overview

The AmeriCorps Partnership is recruiting members to support homeless services programming in Santa Barbara and Lompoc at the Housing Authority of Santa Barbara County. Members coordinate client services, facilitate workshops, complete document readiness work, enroll beneficiaries in the Homeless Management Information System, conduct street outreach, and manage volunteers. The position is a full time national service contract lasting one year, renewable up to four times.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the U.S.
• Must undergo a National Sex Offender Registry check and a criminal history check.
• Must be at least 17 years or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED or agree to obtain one while serving.
• Must have a full year of availability from September 2026 through August 2027.
• Must live in Santa Barbara County.
