Overview

Greater Outreach Services, LLP is hiring a Peer Support Specialist to provide peer-to-peer support to individuals living with mental health or substance use challenges across Orange, Wake, and Durham counties. The role involves helping clients set goals, build recovery plans, and navigate services and community resources. Applicants must be certified as a Peer Support Specialist in North Carolina and have clients for an active caseload for Medicaid recipients only. The position is full-time or part-time, hybrid remote in Durham, NC.

Requirements

• Currently certified as a Peer Support Specialist in North Carolina
• Active caseload of clients for Medicaid recipients only
• Personal lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery
• High school diploma or GED
• Good communication and time management skills
• Reliable transportation may be required for some community-based work
