Overview
The Certified Welding Inspector verifies that welding activities and completed welds meet approved drawings, project specifications, welding procedure requirements, applicable codes, and internal quality standards. The role spans the welding lifecycle, from document and material review through in-process surveillance, final inspection, reporting, and repair verification. The CWI works with welders, fabricators, project teams, engineering, and shop leadership in a metal fabrication shop environment.
Requirements
- Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential in good standing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding experience of 2 years
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, WPS documents, and specifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as business needs require
- Ability to commute to Orlando, FL 32832
