The CNC Machinist sets up, programs, operates, and maintains CNC machines to produce precision components. Requirements
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code
- Knowledge of CAM software such as MasterCam or similar
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret GD&T specifications
- Experience operating CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual machining tools
- Skill with measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements, feed rates, speeds, and tolerances
