Overview
This remote full time role owns multi-year commodity strategies for electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, UPS, busway, power distribution, and cabling. The manager secures manufacturing capacity and lead times, negotiates master supply and long-term agreements, and runs quarterly business reviews and supplier scorecards. The position partners with Electrical Engineering on specifications and design-for-cost decisions. Requirements
- Experience building and owning commodity strategies for electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, UPS, or power distribution
- Experience negotiating complex multi-year supply agreements and capacity reservations with electrical OEMs across global markets
- Ability to use copper, aluminum, and steel indices to structure escalation terms
- Experience running RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes end to end
- Experience tracking supplier performance with scorecards for quality, on-time delivery, and cost
- Experience with ERP and procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or Coupa
