Overview

The Community Advisor provides peer presence and accountability for women in the Firstep recovery program, helping maintain a calm and safe environment. Responsibilities include monitoring attendance at Twelve Step meetings, assigning chores, conducting UAs, running safety drills, and supporting residents. The role is part-time, hourly, non-exempt, with evening and weekend hours.

Requirements

• Experience in substance abuse recovery and/or high school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift, carry, or move objects up to 40 pounds
• May occasionally bend, stoop, or crouch
• Provide direct monitoring of client attendance at Twelve Step meetings and group activities
• Conduct UAs and chart accordingly
• Monitor visitation and resident whereabouts
