Overview

This position performs intermediate administrative and administrative support work for the Solid Waste Department under the moderate supervision of the Solid Waste Director. Duties include managing social media and marketing materials, coordinating the litter sweep program, planning community events, supporting recycling outreach, and researching and applying for grants. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and moderate experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Associates or Technical degree preferred
• Valid Driver License and use of County Vehicles
• Ability to obtain Carolina Recycling Association certification within 6 months of hire
• Ability to obtain Weighmaster Certification within 6 months of hire
• Knowledge of recycling laws and regulations, grant research, social media, and standard office software
