Overview

This role installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and supports campus computer systems and related hardware and software. The technician also pulls and terminates wiring for voice, data, and video, documents workloads and procedures, and provides prompt technical support to the campus community. The position reports to the IT Supervisor and assists the Technician III and other IT staff.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or related experience
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at a level appropriate to the position
• Ability to read and understand moderately complex plans, drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing approximately 25 to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach, and to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
