Overview
The Daytime Shelter Support Staff helps manage everyday shelter processes, activities, and systems under the supervision of the Shelter Director and Shift Supervisor. Responsibilities include staffing the front desk, assisting guests, circulating the facilities, and enforcing shelter policies. Staff also respond to emergencies, distribute supplies, and complete basic shelter cleaning tasks.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to respond calmly and thoughtfully to conflict
- Strengths-based, respectful approach to working with unhoused people
- Valid CT driver's license preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
