Overview
Gulf Coast Social Services seeks a Direct Care Companion to help clients with grooming, bathing, dressing, meals, toileting, ambulation, transportation, and community activities per each client's Individual Service Plan. The role includes documentation, incident reporting, and non-complex medical tasks when trained. Applicants must be at least 18 and able to read and write at a level that supports service plans and documentation.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old per licensing requirements
- Ability to read and write to understand service plans and document services
- Caregiving experience preferred, not required
- Valid driver's license and insured vehicle when transport is required
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift as designated
- Regular and punctual attendance and adherence to assigned schedule
