Overview

The Direct Support Professional assists individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in residential facilities. Responsibilities include providing personal hygiene care, meal preparation, housekeeping, administering medications after training, and transporting residents to community activities. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Must become an approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP) within six months of hire
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to lift, move, and position residents
• Valid New York State Driver's License in good standing preferred
