Overview
The ECG Machinist sets up, operates, and maintains manual, CNC, and electrochemical grinding machinery to produce precision components. Duties include performing O.D. and I.D. grinding operations, inspecting finished parts against strict tolerances, and troubleshooting setup issues. The work takes place on-site in an active manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Experience operating manual and/or CNC grinding equipment
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques
- Ability to work with close tolerances up to plus or minus 0.0005 inches
- Ability to read and follow operation sheets and verbal directions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials
