Overview

This position reports directly to the Yard Manager to assist with wire shredding and recycling operations. The primary focus involves safely operating an excavator with attachments to feed loose cable into a shredder. Additional duties include routine maintenance on yard equipment, sorting materials, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• Manufacturing knowledge
• Excavator, forklift, and/or skid steer loader safe operation proficiency
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to identify and sort Ferrous and Non Ferrous materials
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform regular physical motions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
