Overview

Just Bucket Excavating, Inc. performs heavy civil construction, including underground utility installation, road construction, mass excavation, site development, grading, and paving, mostly on prevailing wage public works projects. The operator runs excavators of various sizes plus loaders, dozers, rollers, and backhoes, reads plans and grade stakes, and works closely with the crew. This is not an entry-level position.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on excavator operating experience in heavy civil construction
• Proficient with CAT-style excavator controls
• Experience with underground utilities, pipe installation support, mass excavation, fine grading, and roadway construction
• Ability to read construction plans and work from grade stakes and elevations
• Working knowledge of trench safety and excavation practices
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions
