Overview

The Fabricator/Welder performs weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products from engineered drawings, specifications, or other instructions. Duties include interpreting mechanical drawings and weld symbols, fixturing, setting up parameters such as amps and volts, using measuring instruments, maintaining welding equipment, and finish grinding. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an internal welding test
• Proven skills in Aluminum, MIG and TIG welding
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, sketches, and weld symbols
• Working knowledge of fixturing and setup parameters (amps, volts)
• Ability to wear required PPE such as welding hoods, respirators, ear and eye protection, and steel-toed boots
