Overview
The Facilities Manager leads maintenance operations for a 24-hour family emergency shelter serving families experiencing homelessness. Duties include general repairs, preventive maintenance, grounds care, safety compliance, emergency response, and coordinating vendors. The role requires a hands-on, proactive problem solver with at least 3 years of building maintenance or facilities experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of building maintenance, facilities management, property maintenance, or building operations experience
- Demonstrated troubleshooting of building and maintenance problems
- Practical knowledge of building systems and components
- Experience with carpentry, basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, drywall repair, and painting
- Must be available for flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and occasional after-hours emergency response
