Overview

The Fleet Mechanic performs electrical, mechanical, and computer diagnostics on light to medium duty trucks, fleet vans, diesel engines, and passenger vehicles. Duties include repairs to suspensions, steering, brakes, transmissions, exhaust, fuel, and HVAC systems, plus preventive maintenance and DOT fleet safety checks. Mobile service support may be needed at customer job sites. The employer says people with a criminal record are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic skills with modern scan tools and electronic schematics
• ASE certifications or manufacturer training highly preferred
• Must possess a complete set of personal hand tools and basic air/power tools
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or on a team
