Overview

The Heavy Equipment Operator operates landfill machinery such as compactors, dozers, loaders, and excavators in compliance with Iowa DNR regulations. This role supports safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations under the direction of the Director. Daily tasks include waste placement, equipment inspections, and general site maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of heavy equipment operation experience
• Valid Class A CDL with ability to obtain tanker endorsement
• Valid Iowa driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather
