Overview
The Housing Development Director leads real estate development and construction activities for affordable homeownership, managing projects from site identification through completion. The role supervises the Construction Manager and RePair Manager and coordinates subcontractors, vendors, municipalities, and homeowners. It reports to the Operations Director and works primarily in a professional office setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience supervising construction field staff and multidisciplinary project teams
- Familiarity with zoning laws, permitting processes and construction regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Valid Driver's License and insurable under affiliate driver's policy
