Overview
The City of Shelbyville Public Works Department is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled and unskilled general maintenance duties. The role involves construction, cleaning and maintaining buildings, roadways, storm sewers, and road signs, removing snow and ice, operating motorized equipment, cutting trees and grass, and collecting trash. Flexibility to work during emergency weather conditions and special events is required. The position is supervised by the Superintendent of Public Works.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Some related work experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain a Kentucky CDL within 6 months to 1 year of hire
