Overview
The Mechanical Design Engineer uses Solidworks to design bulk material handling equipment and integrated systems engineered and built by NBE. Duties include preparing assembly models, approval prints, detailed drawings, and pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, and using FEA and CFD software to validate designs. The position is full-time, in person, at the Holland, Michigan facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (BSME or similar) preferred
- Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school plus a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training required
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling program
- Ability to design equipment and system layouts using 3D design software
- Knowledge of machines, engineering practices, mathematics, and building materials
