Overview

Conservit, an employee-owned ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal recycler, is seeking Metals Sorters for its Hagerstown, MD location. Sorters monitor refining plant equipment, pick and remove metals and non-metallic materials from conveyor belts, and keep the yard clean. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience or training, or equivalent combination
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English safety rules and procedure manuals
• Heavy physical demands: up to 100 lbs occasionally, up to 40 lbs frequently
• Six or more hours of intermittent standing or walking per eight hour day
• Frequent stooping and bending
• Pre-employment drug screen required, including for marijuana
