Overview

The Peer Support Specialist reports to the Program Manager and trains and coaches clubhouse members in work skills, work habits, socialization, and daily living activities for individuals with mental illness. The role facilitates the peer mentor curriculum, supports member goals, and helps maintain the clubhouse and thrift store environment. It requires an associate degree or equivalent experience and at least two years of recent mental health or social services work experience.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum two years recent work experience in mental health or related social services
• Valid Arizona Class 2 driver's license with no more than one accident or two minor traffic violations in the last three years
• Must be able to obtain state fingerprint clearance
• Must commute to Tucson, AZ 85701
• Must be willing to relocate to Tucson, AZ 85701 before starting employment
