Overview

The City of Indian Harbour Beach is hiring a Police Officer for general duty police work protecting life and property through enforcement of laws and ordinances. The role involves arrests, investigations, patrol, report writing, and rescue operations under varied and often hazardous conditions. Applicants must hold Florida Law Enforcement Certification and pass psychological and polygraph tests, fingerprinting, and a driving record check.

Requirements

• High School graduation or acceptable equivalency diploma
• Completion of Minimum Standards courses as set forth by the Florida Police Standards Council
• Florida Law Enforcement Certification
• Valid Florida State Driver's License
• Successful completion of psychological and polygraph tests, fingerprinting, and driving record check
• Ability to meet physical requirements and qualify with a firearm
