Overview
The Produce Steward keeps garden displays stocked, rotated, and culled each shift, monitors shrinkage, and answers customer questions about products and diet specifications. The role follows food and safety guidelines, checks refrigerated product temperatures, and helps with inventory preparation. Requirements
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work in extreme temperatures
- Wear protective footwear and personal protective equipment, including gloves and a mask at all times
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Speak and hear, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; one year produce stock or natural food retail experience preferred
