Overview
The Qualified Professional provides behavioral intervention, skills training, and emotional support to consumers with mental illness in a Level III residential facility. Duties include intake assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and supervision of associate and paraprofessional staff. The role requires documented experience with mentally ill children and knowledge of behavioral management and human services practices.
Requirements
- License, provisional license, certificate, registration, or permit in a human service profession, or qualifying degree and experience as specified
- Minimum of one year documented experience with mentally ill children population
- Knowledge of human services principles, behavioral management, social and family systems, and cognitive behavioral education
- Master's degree preferred
- Driver's License preferred
- Ability to supervise associate and paraprofessional staff
