Overview
The Residential Aide provides active treatment and daily living support to people served, following habilitation and behavioral plans. Duties include personal care, documentation, and maintaining a safe home-like environment. Training is provided on an ongoing basis, and the role requires physical coordination including lifting up to 50 pounds or 1/4 of your weight.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid US driver's license for at least 3 years and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or 1/4 of your weight, whichever is less
- Physical coordination to walk, bend, twist, push, pull, sit, drive, and ride in vehicles
- Reading, writing, sight, and hearing skills necessary for documentation
- Confidentiality concerning anything heard or seen in the workplace
