Overview
Bronco Blast Equipment is hiring a hands-on Senior Controls Engineer to own controls projects from electrical design and sequence development through PLC/HMI programming, machine testing, and customer commissioning. The role also involves establishing controls standards, guiding component selection, reviewing technical work, and providing technical guidance to engineering, assembly, and service personnel. The position combines office-based engineering with shop and customer-site work, including overnight travel about one week per quarter.
Requirements
- Seven or more years developing industrial machine control systems
- Ownership of complete controls projects from requirements through commissioning
- Proficiency in original PLC ladder logic programming and HMI screen development
- Ability to independently develop electrical schematics, I/O lists, and bills of materials
- Experience selecting and integrating PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and safety devices
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, or associate degree with substantial experience
