Overview

The Service Writer is the primary point of contact between customers and the service department for outdoor power equipment. Duties include intake of equipment, preparing repair estimates and service orders, scheduling jobs, coordinating with technicians, processing payments, and handling warranty claims. The position works in a shop environment with exposure to weather, noise, dust, fumes, grease, gas, and oil, and requires lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least two years of related experience required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Customer service experience, preferably in a service or repair environment
• Proficiency with computer systems and service management software
• Successfully complete pre-employment background check and ongoing motor vehicle record review
