Overview

Survival House, a new ASAM 3.1 Clinically Managed Residential Treatment Program in Hagerstown, Maryland, is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to support residents in building recovery goals and progressing through individualized treatment plans. The counselor works with the Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, case management team, and external providers such as IOP, MAT, and mental health services. Duties include individual counseling, group facilitation, biopsychosocial assessments, crisis support, and documentation meeting COMAR 10.63 and ASAM standards. Requirements

• One of the following licenses or certifications: CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGPC, LCPC, or ADT (preferred)
• Experience in substance use treatment or behavioral health
• Strong knowledge of recovery principles and person-centered care

• Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Preferred: experience in residential or ASAM 3.1 level of care
