Overview
PorchLight is a nonprofit serving single men experiencing homelessness through shelter, meals, and supportive services. The Shelter Support Staff role is temporary, anticipated to last 90 days, and may be shortened or extended. Staff build respectful relationships with clients, maintain safety and cleanliness, and document incidents and shift notes.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with underserved and vulnerable populations
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries
- Ability to enforce shelter rules in a low-barrier environment
- Willingness to train in trauma-informed care, diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
- CPR/First Aid Training
