Overview
The Flagger directs traffic around construction sites, road maintenance areas, and other work zones. Responsibilities include setting up signs, cones, and barricades, managing traffic with stop and slow paddles, and driving company vehicles. Work takes place outdoors in varying weather conditions and traffic settings.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Pass a background check, including motor vehicle records check
- Pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements
- Ability to stand up to 10 hours and lift over 50 pounds
- Complete ATSSA Flagger training and Defensive Driver training
- Willingness to travel statewide, work nights, weekends, and rotating on-call
