Overview
The Weekend Day Peer Support Specialist provides trauma-informed, person-centered peer support to residents at the STAR Center Campus. Duties include mentoring, practical guidance, transportation to approved appointments and community activities, and assistance with life skills and recovery or reentry goals. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Active, valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to work assigned weekend day and rotating weekday schedule, including holidays
- Ability to satisfy LINC, Inc. screening, training, confidentiality, safety, and documentation requirements
- Reliable telephone access and prompt communication with supervisory staff
- Peer Support Specialist and/or Community Health Worker certification preferred
