Overview
The Care Support Specialist provides continuous onsite coverage to ensure 24/7 safety and support for residents, enforcing community guidelines and responding to daily needs. Duties include monitoring security cameras, deescalating conflicts, completing documentation, conducting safety checks, and assisting with transportation. The position works overnight and weekends, often as the sole staff member on shift, and requires comfort working with female residents who may be survivors of human trafficking, military sexual trauma, or gender-based violence.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in human services, including working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and/or substance use disorders
- Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurer
- Experience in crisis intervention
- Ability to perform light housekeeping and lift up to 25 pounds
- Night shift availability required
