Overview
L'Arche Syracuse is hiring a Day Habilitation Direct Support Professional for its Day Hab without walls team. In this role, you will assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily activities, social events, and community outings. The position involves facilitating groups, implementing behavior management strategies, and providing safe transportation.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living such as grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain confidentiality
- Experience with developmental disabilities or behavioral health preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language preferred
