Overview
EMPACT-Suicide Prevention Center, part of the La Frontera family, is a nonprofit providing behavioral health counseling, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention services. The Family Support Counselor builds supportive relationships with children and adults in family and community settings, assists with case management and community resources, attends Child and Family Teams, and may mentor children, assist with living skills, and provide family respite. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a behavioral health related field or BHT qualifications, experience with children with behavioral needs, and a valid Arizona driver's license with a clean three-year driving record.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health related field or BHT qualifications
- Experience working with children with behavioral needs and different diagnoses
- Experience working with parents on parenting skills and behavior modeling
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and/or weekend hours
- Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one
- Valid AZ driver's license with no major infractions in the past three years
