Overview
Control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars in yards, industrial plants, or similar locations to load and unload railcars safely and efficiently. This is a manual labor position requiring proficiency in specified skills within a training period. Work outdoors in varying weather, noise, and fumes, with heavy lifting and a flexible schedule.
Requirements
- High school education or GED
- Must have or have had 49CFR242 and/or 49CFR240 qualifications
- At least 1 year of job-related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to pass training and required testing
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- FRA 240/242 Certifications and Driver's License required
