Overview

NRE is seeking an experienced Marine Diesel Mechanic to perform field diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines supporting river operations. The role involves working directly on towboats, barges, and marine equipment across the regional river system. Applicants must be prepared for full travel to on-site customer locations.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of diesel mechanic experience (minimum 5 years marine/maritime required)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with engine repairs and rebuilds
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Required to provide your own hand and air tools
• Required reliable transportation and 100% willingness to travel
