Overview
The Automotive Fleet Mechanic maintains, diagnoses, and repairs a diverse fleet of landscaping vehicles and equipment, including light and medium duty trucks, dump trucks, pickups, trailers, and commercial vehicles with gasoline and diesel engines. Duties include advanced diagnostics, preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, trailer and tire service, parts management, and documentation. The position supports fleet reliability, emergency repairs, and seasonal operations such as winter weather response.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of automotive or fleet maintenance experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing commercial fleet vehicles
- Proficiency with gasoline and diesel engine repair
- Experience with electrical diagnostics, brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulics
- Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with an acceptable driving record
