The Meat Cutter ensures the meat department operates at company standards, driving sales and profitability through proper cutting, packaging, and merchandising of beef, pork, and poultry. Duties include using knives and power equipment, labeling to COOL and USDA standards, maintaining date rotation, receiving and inspecting deliveries, and keeping displays attractive and well stocked. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Must be able to read, write, and speak in English
- Experience with manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment preferred
- Must be dependable and flexible, including working in other areas with little notice
