Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer is a hands-on production support role focused on helping the shop build equipment safely, efficiently, and consistently. The position works directly on the production floor with machinists, assemblers, technicians, engineers, and Quality Control to solve build issues, improve tooling and fixtures, reduce rework, and make processes easier to follow. The role turns engineering requirements into practical shop-floor methods, work instructions, and repeatable build processes for compressor and equipment manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in machining, fabrication, assembly, equipment build, maintenance, or a technician role
• Able to read and interpret drawings, BOMs, work orders, and basic tolerances
• Comfortable using shop tools and measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and basic CMM tools
• Strong practical problem-solving skills
• Experience creating or updating work instructions, procedures, fixtures, tooling, BOMs, or mechanical designs
• Ability to wear required PPE and comply with safety policies
