Overview
The Meat Wrapper learns to handle fresh meat and other meat products, operating the meat department safely, sanitarily, and efficiently. Responsibilities include packaging beef, pork, and poultry, labeling to COOL and USDA standards, maintaining date rotation, and keeping displays attractive. The role also covers receiving and storing deliveries, cleaning meat cases and rooms, and following company food safety and sanitation policies.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in basic math skills required
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Must be dependable and flexible, including working in other store areas as needed
- Must adhere to a uniform dress code
