Overview

Perform building and system commissioning, including inspection and evaluation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment on campus. Use building automation system software, meters, and monitoring devices to identify and diagnose problems, test systems, and adjust controls. Work with outside commissioning consultants and support Central Shops, Zones, Engineering, Utilities, and Construction teams. The targeted rate is $34.34 per hour plus benefits, with final salary based on education and experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 4+ years of experience with HVAC systems in a University or industrial setting
• Knowledge of electrical control systems, HVAC units, fan coil units, chilled water and steam distribution equipment, fume hoods, and mechanical/direct digital controls and pneumatics
• Ability to successfully complete module five and six of the Indoor Air Quality Apprenticeship program
• Good oral and written communication skills and mechanical aptitude
• Valid Driver's License required
