Overview
The Lead Fabricator is a working lead who performs hands-on fabrication, welding, and modification of forms and components used in precast concrete production. The role assigns and coordinates daily work for Fabricators and Helpers, reviews shop drawings and blueprints, and ensures work meets specifications and quality standards. It works under the Plant Manager and with the Project Manager, with no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
- 4+ years of fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing or precast environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
- Proficient in MIG welding; certifications are a plus
- Experience with oxy-acetylene cutting torch and standard fabrication equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment
